Angel Moroni - our neighbor across the street |
Well, we made it safely to Santo Domingo and our new home for the next year. The Carribbean is within sight. The Olsen's took us shopping and to the bank to get settled in. The traffic is "interesting" and someone told us that the lines on the streets are for decoration and the stop lights are more of a suggestion than a rule. Horns are for honking and often. Lots of one-way streets . . . but we're only going one-way, right?! Today or tomorrow we will venture out to try to find the Institute where our office is located. I was so tired last night I didn't even complain too bitterly when there wasn't any hot water for my shower. Working on that today, though . . . the hot water, not the complaining. Dad and I started our morning devotional today with 1 Nephi 1 in Espanol. He is very patient with me. We love all of you so much and appreciate your support. We've been racking up lots of Mission Blessings. Be looking for all YOUR Mission Blessings!
Love,
Dad & Mom
